SECURITY ALERT: EMAIL SCAM

The Advent Software, Inc name is being used in an email scam where recipients receive a message from adventjobs@aol.com and are told of a forthcoming job assignment.  The message, with possible variations, reads:

From: adventjobs@aol.com [mailto:adventjobs@aol.com]
Subject: Re: CareerBuilder Job Application (29593426)
Dear [Recipient Name]:

Congratulations and welcome aboard. We received your details and we have successfully added you to our growing staff strength after successful checks, your staff reference number is Ref: ADVI 07/6573/05038 on the data base, Ensure that you keep this number and have it readily available at all times.
Your first primary assignment will be given to you in about a week, your details have been sent to the client and the payment will be issued to you and sent via UPS/FEDEX, western union details would be sent to you in due time.
Your efficient and prompt execution of this assignment will be noted and rewarded.  Ensure that you check your emails as this is a convenient way of communication We look forward to a healthy working relationship with you.
