Community Involvement

Advent’s purpose charters us to help employees and clients thrive, and our principles commit us to “doing the right thing,” and “valuing the whole person, supporting success…in our communities.”

Therefore Advent seeks to be a force for good in the world and our communities by:

  • supporting the disadvantaged in our communities, particularly through educational programs, by empowering and encouraging the gift of time and financial support from the company and from our employees;
  • strategically supporting client causes that align with our values and business priorities; and
  • responding with time and treasure to natural disasters that affect employees and other members of the communities where we live and work.

Some of what we’ve been up to lately:

  • Named one of the 60 'Top Corporate Philanthropists in the Greater Bay Area’ for the 4th consecutive year
  • Clients assembled 2000 dental hygiene kits for Las Vegas school kids at AdventConnect 2012
  • 40 San Francisco employees mentored/ tutored students every week at Dr. Charles Drew College Preparatory Academy
  • Employees responded to Super Storm Sandy by donating much-needed items & $5266 to the Red Cross’ relief efforts
  • 4th annual Advent Gives Back corporate service days provided over 1000 service hours to San Francisco, New York, Boston & Jacksonville communities
  • New internal web site implemented, automating employee matching, fundraising, & volunteerism
  • Employees across the globe raised over $2500 for colleagues affected by flooding in the Philippines; Advent made $3000 worth of corporate disaster response grants to Give2Asia & the International Red Cross
  • 2130.50 volunteer hours reported by domestic employees
