Highlights and Achievements:

  • Named one of the 60 'Top Corporate Philanthropists in the Greater Bay Area’ (also San Francisco Business Times) in 2009, 2010 & 2011
  • Japan earthquake & tsunami relief efforts: Advent employees raised $14,950--$10,000 of which was matched by Advent
  • Advent Gives Back (3rd annual): 377 employees volunteered for a half day in San Francisco, Boston, Jacksonville and New York communities
  • 1500 Back-to-School kits for teachers & students at 2 Boston public schools assembled at Client Conference by Advent clients and employees
  • Record number of employees (40) participate in Community Involvement working committees
  • San Francisco employees volunteered over 280 hours every month as mentors or tutors at a local school

2012 Direction and Theme:

  • Advent Software, Inc. will leverage Community Involvement to support Advent’s business strategy, our employees and our communities.
  • Education and low-performing K-12 schools remain our targeted social issue.
  • Two “Advent Gives Back” company-wide community service activities being planned for all domestic office locations—one in the spring and one for late summer.
  • 3rd Community engagement activity at client conference in September.
  • .5% of profit targeted for charitable giving.
  • New technology tool to be implemented to help employees manage and share about their community involvement.
