Logging In to a Web Seminar

Important: When you register for a Web seminar, Advent e-mails you an immediate confirmation with your log-in and dial-in instructions. If you do not receive that e-mail, please call the Adent Web Seminar hotline at (800) 416-0448.

To participate in a Web seminar, you must have:

  • A Java-enabled browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator (Microsoft Internet Explorer preferred).
  • A telephone line.

Test and configure your browser.

 

As soon as possible after registering for the seminar:

  1. Go to the Advent Webex home page at http://adventsoftware.webex.com.
  2. Click on Meeting Center.
  3. On the left hand side, click the Setup > Meeting Manager.
  4. Click the Setup button.
  5. When the test is complete, you will see the message “You have successfully set up WebEx Meeting Manager on this computer."
  6. Click OK.

Ten minutes before the seminar, log in.

 

  1. Go to http://adventsoftware.webex.com/adventsoftware.
  2. Click "Event Center."
  3. Click "Join Now" beside the web seminar you want to join.
  4. Enter the meeting number (provided in your confirmation e-mail).
  5. Enter your name, e-mail address, and the seminar password (provided in your confirmation e-mail).
  6. You may be asked to download a plug-in. This should only take two minutes to complete.
  7. After the download is complete, you will see the Welcome page. The seminar will begin soon.

Five minutes before the seminar, dial in.

 

  1. Call the phone number in your confirmation e-mail.
  2. When prompted, enter the passcode Advent.
  3. Wait for the seminar to begin.
