Company Overview
A trade automation and connectivity solution, the SunGard Global Network (SGN) links institutions throughout the financial services value industry, facilitating the purchase and sale of many securities types, including U.S. and foreign equities, fixed income listed options, mutual funds, money market funds, certificates of deposit, and commercial paper. Integrated directly with SunGard systems and third party systems, SGN helps automate the entire transaction lifecycle. SGN connects approximately 1,900 asset managers, 700 issuers, and 270 broker/dealers, representing 500 global trading destinations.

Partnership Overview
Advent’s partnership with SGN enables your to achieve a complete straight through processing (STP) environment. Together, Advent Software and SGN’s connectivity help streamline the key trade lifecycle components including, electronic order routing, broker allocations, confirm/affirm, and custodian bank notifications. More than 550 firms rely on this integration to help to minimize the risk and cost associated with trading. 

Trade Execution
Using the Moxy® integrated Financial Information eXchange (FIX) engine, SGN provides you with real-time connectivity to more than 500 global trading broker destinations. Users benefit from a robust testing and certification process between Moxy and SGN. In addition, Advent and SGN work together to provide users with end-to-end support for critical trade communications.

Broker Allocations
By using the industry standard FIX protocol, SGN is rapidly expanding the post-trade process of notifying brokers of trade allocation details. It leverages existing Moxy FIX allocation support, allowing you to deliver allocations and receive acknowledgements directly from your Moxy trade screen. SGN also offers a critical tool that enables users to monitor FIX connections and allow the redirect of trades if a connection drops.

Confirm/Affirm
Using SGN’s web-based download, you can retrieve DTCC confirmations and deliver back affirmations. To further streamline this workflow, the Advent DTCC interface provides you with tolerance-based local matching to reconcile confirmations against information in Axys®, Moxy, and Advent Portfolio Exchange® (APX).

Custodian Bank Notifications
SGN leverages its network to connect managers with their custodians for trade notifications. Trade details are uploaded from Moxy and delivered to SGN for translation (SWIFT and non-SWIFT format) and delivery. In addition, the service includes a web-based dashboard to give you oversight and control over the process.
