Boston, MA, October 25, 2004 - Drawing in more than 800 leaders of the financial services industry, Advent Software (NASDAQ: ADVS) today opened the doors of its annual conference in Boston. Running through this Wednesday, October 27, at the Sheraton Boston Hynes Convention Center, the conference will address key issues facing the investment management` industry – from achieving regulatory compliance to profiting from back-office automation.
In keeping with tradition, the conference will feature several keynote speakers from both inside and outside the financial services community, including Dr. Jeremy Siegel, the Russell E. Palmer Professor of Finance at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania; Pamela Brewster, senior analyst with industry research firm Celent; Dr. Denis Waitley, former Navy pilot and trained psychologist who has developed training and performance programs for NASA astronauts; and Dee Dee Myers, former White House press secretary under President Clinton, and Marlin Fitzwater, who held the same position under Presidents George Bush and Ronald Reagan.
“Advent’s annual conference is a great opportunity for us to share information, exchange ideas, and ultimately, learn how to best meet the changing needs of the industry,” said Stephanie DiMarco, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Advent. “I view this event as the ultimate forum in which to bring together some of the best and brightest professionals within the industry for the benefit of our clients.”
Advent will provide attendees with updates on several of its key products and solutions including Geneva®, Axys® and Moxy®, a number of which have recently been upgraded. Just last month, Advent released the newest version of Moxy®, its popular trade order management solution, which has been upgraded with features designed for hedge funds and asset managers. And earlier this year Advent launched an updated version of Geneva®, its global investment accounting solution, which includes increased alternative asset functionality, as well as enhanced security type and transaction coverage. At the conference Advent representatives will both demonstrate these products and lead classes training attendees in the most effective use of them. Attendees will also benefit from previews of future product development, including the next generation of Advent’s portfolio management and reporting products.
