SAN FRANCISCO, TORONTO, and VANCOUVER – OCTOBER 31, 2013 – Advent Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADVS), a leading provider of software and services for the global investment management industry, today announced the company will host an educational roadshow – “Risk, Recovery, Rebalancing: What’s Next for Global Growth & Canada’s Economic Prospects for 2014” – for the Canadian investment community. The first event will be held in Toronto on Wednesday, November 6th, followed by an event in Vancouver on Thursday, November 21st.
Presenters include the acclaimed economist Joseph Lake of the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), who will address the Canadian and global economic outlook for 2014, and the implications for Canadian investment managers. The program will also address the impact and challenges of regulatory compliance, as well as review the findings of a new study on how investors choose hedge funds and the common mistakes made by fund managers.

Mr. Whitmore comes to Advent from Halogen Software, where he served as director of sales and relationship management. Prior to that, he spent 15 years with Princeton Financial Systems, including roles in sales, relationship management, and general management. He held national, regional and global responsibilities during his thirteen years in Canada and two years in the Asia Pacific region. “Lorne will spearhead Advent’s efforts to deepen our relationships and grow our roster of clients in Canada,” said Momsen. "His extensive industry background and local ties will help strengthen and build Advent’s presence in the country. We’re excited to welcome Lorne to the Advent team.”
