SAN FRANCISCO – February 5, 2009 – Advent Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADVS), a leading provider of software and services for the global investment management industry, today announced continued momentum in its trade order management and compliance platform, comprised of Moxy® and Advent Rules Manager®.
Moxy® is Advent’s leading trade order management solution (OMS) and the most widely used OMS in the industry. Advent Rules Manager® is its comprehensive compliance solution, which integrates with Moxy® for pre and post-trade rule checking, portfolio monitoring and automated record-keeping.
Both products had considerable new customer momentum in 2008. With over half its client base managing assets in excess of $1 billion, Moxy® surpassed 850 clients worldwide, adding 62 new clients and completing more than 200 client upgrades and implementations to Moxy® version 6.0. Advent Rules Manager®, which was launched just over a year ago, continued to gain traction in the market, adding over 20 new clients in 2008.
Moxy® broadened its global footprint adding several new international clients throughout the year. Of its 850-plus clients, Moxy® now has over 100 clients in Europe and the Middle East. The solution’s international client base consists of a wide range of investment management firms including asset managers, hedge funds, bank/trust asset managers and broker dealers that range in size from $250 million in assets under management to more than $60 billion.
Advent also expanded trading integration options for its Moxy® clients in 2008. The expanded integration and connectivity strategy has given customers greater access to liquidity venues and offers broader integration and simplified workflow with execution management system (EMS) providers, while continuing to add to the existing critical trading tools such as algorithmic trading strategies in Moxy®.
Advent, which has an existing relationship with dark pool provider Liquidnet, completed additional dark pool provider integrations with Aqua, Blockcross, and Pipeline as part of the strategy. In addition, Advent now has relationships with 18 algorithmic trading providers with access to more than 50 strategies to assist firms with execution.
