SAN FRANCISCO – June 07, 2011 – Advent Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADVS) announced today that Advent’s founder and CEO, Stephanie DiMarco, has been named one of “50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds,” according to a survey published by The Hedge Fund Journal in association with Ernst & Young. The survey was based on interviews with industry participants, including administrators, custodians, pension funds, private banks, funds of funds, family offices, and capital introduction teams based in the United States, Europe and Asia.
Stephanie DiMarco founded Advent Software in 1983 and has engineered the company’s growth into one of the leading providers of software and services to the investment management industry. Prior to founding Advent, DiMarco worked in the investment industry as a financial analyst and portfolio manager. DiMarco quickly realized how the manual portfolio accounting function was a drain on resources and that, by automating these processes, firms could improve workflow, handle increased volume and reduce operating costs. Advent Software was born from that realization and, under DiMarco’s leadership, has grown into a global company, with 4,400 clients in more than 60 countries around the world.
Advent was recently named 2011 “Leading Provider of Fund Accounting and General Ledger Systems” by The Hedge Fund Journal for Geneva®, Advent’s real-time portfolio management platform designed for the global alternative investments market. Advent also delivers a range of solutions to meet the needs of global asset managers, including Axys®, Advent Portfolio Exchange®(APX) and Moxy®. In recent years, the company has rounded out its offering to include Tamale RMS®, a robust research management solution (RMS) that can be tailored to a firm’s workflow to bring efficiency and organization to a firm’s research and compliance processes and, with the recent acquisition of Black Diamond Performance Reporting, Advent now offers solutions designed specifically for the US Advisory market.
