Osborne Partners Goes Live on Advent Portfolio Exchange®

Investment Advisory Firm Anticipates Growth with Advent’s Next Generation Portfolio Accounting and Reporting Platform

San Francisco, January 25, 2006 – Advent Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADVS) announces that Osborne Partners has gone live with Advent Portfolio Exchange® (APX), a comprehensive new offering from Advent designed to manage the full range of investment operations from the early stages of client prospecting through to client reporting.

APX leverages Microsoft technology, including a single SQL relational database, .NET technology and a web browser user interface. It also features industry leading portfolio management and reporting; integrated client relationship management tools; advanced user security, transaction management and audit features; enhanced fixed income functionality; and customizable reporting and queries for client and portfolio information.
