A New Version of Axys – Just in Time for Upgrade Season

Clients call SS&C Advent’s Axys® the “bulletproof” portfolio accounting system for good reason. Stable and fast, it is the backbone of over 1,000 firms’ operations, not only handling their portfolio accounting reporting and aggregation needs, but also integrating with other systems and counterparties. What’s more, it does all this with a very light IT footprint.

To ensure that clients continue to get the optimal value from Axys, we recently delivered a raft of new enhancements in the latest release, Axys 3.8.7. This release brings updated compatibility with third-party systems, including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat. Its many enhancements also include:

  • An enhanced Position Reconciliation report, with improved handling of pending/unsettled trades and better management insight.
  • A Reallocate Dividends tool to streamline distribution reclassification events including return of capital and income recharacterization transactions.
  • An expanded generic date framework provides additional flexibility in reporting and automation.
  • Additional and Improved multicurrency reports.

We often hear from Axys clients that the ideal time to upgrade is between tax season and summer. That time is upon us, so it would be to your benefit to be on the latest release. For clients, check out the new features, download the release from the Advent Download Center, and test it to prime your firm for an upgrade.

On the other hand, if you’ve reached a stage where you need more flexibility, broader asset class coverage, cloud delivery or a client portal, now might be the time to check out Black Diamond, Advent Portfolio Exchange (APX), or Geneva. We have helped many Axys clients make a smooth transition to one of our other platforms when the time is right.

So many choices! And the beauty of it is you can’t go wrong. Talk to us about which solution might be best for your firm at this stage – even if it’s simply the most current version of the system you’re already using.
