Red Carpet Treatment: SS&C Advent Takes Home Two Reader-Driven Awards for Geneva

SS&C Advent took home two best-in-class honors from Private Equity Wire and Hedgeweek in September for its Geneva Portfolio Management Platform. Voted “Best Portfolio Management Software Provider” by a readership audience, SS&C Advent continues to innovate and develop tools that resonate with a wide audience in the investment community.

For the Private Equity Wire USA 2019 Award, readers voted SS&C Advent “Best Portfolio Management Software Provider,” and for Geneva World Investor, the investor accounting and servicing tool within the Geneva platform. As PE funds have racked up impressive performance numbers and attracted more mainstream investors in recent years, the Geneva team has worked diligently to adapt Geneva World Investor to meet the complex accounting and reporting demands of closed-end and hybrid funds, including standardized ILPA-compliant reporting. This award is recognition that those efforts have been successful.

SS&C Advent’s Geneva platform was also voted “Best Managed Account Platform Technology Firm” for Hedgeweek’s 2019 USA Awards. Alternative managed accounts have become increasingly popular with institutional investors over the past decade, and Geneva is among the first platforms that enabled fund managers and administrators to service this market at scale.

“These awards underscore the tremendous versatility of the Geneva platform for managing virtually any type of fund, whether co-mingled or separately managed,” said Marc Flamini, Vice President of Business Development. “Alternative fund managers face a big challenge to meet investor demand for transparency and timely, accurate reporting on complex asset classes. These capabilities will prove particularly critical as fund firms seek to expand their offerings beyond hedge and PE funds, into areas such as private credit and real assets. With Geneva, they can do it all on a single platform.”

Both the award wins were announced the week of September 23 at New York-based ceremonies. “These awards are especially gratifying coming directly from the readers of these highly respected publications,” said Marc. “Many of them have likely had a positive experience with our Geneva platform, which has increasingly become the platform of choice for diversified asset management.”
