SS&C Advent Partners with Snowflake to Expand Genesis Data Access

Extending trusted Genesis data into modern analytics environments—without disrupting core investment workflows.

Investment managers are increasingly looking to modernize how they access, analyze, and govern their data — without adding complexity or fragmenting their technology stack.

SS&C Advent is taking another step to support this shift by expanding how Genesis clients can access and activate their data by integrating with Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud.

This initiative is part of SS&C Advent’s ongoing efforts to extend Genesis data beyond the core platform and into modern data ecosystems — while maintaining the governance and reliability firms expect from their investment platform.

What this means for Genesis clients
The Genesis-Snowflake integration is designed to simplify analytics and reporting by pairing trusted Genesis data with the Snowflake analytics tools and environments firms already use. For Genesis clients, this means:

  • Faster access to trusted data
Genesis data can be made available directly within a client’s own Snowflake environment, reducing delays between data creation and analysis.

  • Greater flexibility for analytics and reporting
Firms can connect Genesis to their BI tool of choice, using Snowflake within their existing technology and governance frameworks.

  • Scalability without trade-offs
This approach supports larger data volumes and evolving analytical needs, without requiring custom pipelines or additional infrastructure.

  • A foundation for future innovation
Snowflake access is part of a broader initiative to expand Genesis data availability through 2026, supporting more advanced analytics and downstream use cases over time, as well as AI-readiness.

Turning Genesis Data into Insight, Faster

Rather than requiring bespoke integrations or manual data exports, the Genesis-Snowflake connection is designed as a turnkey integration, enabling clients to unlock value from their data faster, with less operational overhead.

This is especially valuable for firms expanding analytics capabilities, supporting new strategies, or standardizing reporting across teams.

A Modern Approach to Investment Data Access

“This is about giving clients more flexibility in how they use their data without sacrificing trust or control,” said Karen Geiger, Co-Head of Wealth & Investment Technologies at SS&C. “By extending Genesis data access through Snowflake, we’re enabling firms to work within the analytics environments they already rely on, while continuing to benefit from Genesis as their core investment platform, including its governed data foundation and integrated front-to-back workflows.”

That focus on flexibility and governance is shared by Snowflake.

“Investment managers are increasingly focused on scaling analytics while maintaining strong governance,” said Jonathan Regenstein, Head of Wealth and Asset Management at Snowflake. “Expanding access to Genesis data within the Snowflake AI Data Cloud helps our joint customers securely work with their data in the environments they choose — supporting faster insight and more flexible innovation.”

Supporting Evolving Data and Analytics Strategies

Across the industry, investment managers are modernizing data architectures to support advanced analytics, cloud-based workflows, and AI-driven initiatives. Partnerships between investment technology providers and cloud data platforms reflect this shift — enabling firms to extend analytics and insight without re-architecting their core investment platforms.

Looking ahead

The Genesis-Snowflake integration will be available to demo starting this month. Initial availability will focus on Genesis clients, with future enhancements planned as part of SS&C Advent’s broader data strategy.
